It’s rare to see a Texas State Quarterfinal football game this time of year, but the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates faced off against the Rider Raiders of Witchita Falls. Rider ultimately won the showdown 21-13.
I’m not a sports reporter, so you’ll have to look for the game details elsewhere. However, I did attend the chilly game to get out of the house on News Years Day. My wife is a teacher here in Amarillo, and I know students have had an overwhelming school year so far.
Photographing the game yesterday is just my small way to give back and capture some memories for them. I don’t know anyone from these schools, so I’m posting pictures here along with a link to the full gallery.
