Portrait Sessions: What to Expect

I think it is safe to say that most of us have had uncomfortable (if not entirely awkward) encounters with photographers at least one time in our lives. It has been my experience that these less than desirable sessions leave us wanting more due to the absence of communication and lack of shared expectations. Here is what you can expect when you book with me…

GET THE BALL ROLLING

    • After you fill out the contact form, I will give you a call to iron out the best day and time for your portrait session.
    • Next, I’ll send you an invoice for your reservation fee. The reservation fee is non-refundable. But don’t sweat it if something comes up; I’ll work with you to reschedule for another date that works best for you.

THE DETAILS

    • Once your portrait session is reserved, I’ll ask you to send me some of your outfit ideas so I can scout the best locations that complement your personality and style.
    • The week of the shoot, we will meet for coffee, a cocktail, or a quick video chat to discuss in detail what the actual session will look like. I will show you sample images, location descriptions, and chat about any questions or ideas you have about the shoot. This is also an excellent time for you to show me any images or Pinterest inspiration you may have gathered for your portrait session!

THE BIG DAY

    • The day of the shoot, we will meet at the predetermined location. All you have to do now is show up, relax and have fun! It is my job to walk you through, poses, shooting and styling the shoot the way we discussed. This way you can take pressure off yourself and enjoy the shoot!

WRAPPING IT UP

    • After the session, I will gather the best images from your portrait session. Then, the editing process begins! This is where my team and I will bring your sessions to life.
    • And perhaps the best part of the whole process is our turnaround time. I guarantee you will receive your images within 5 to 7 business days, or I will refund you your entire session AND give you all of the best images from your portrait session.
